Art in architecture
The creative combination of art and architecture is a long-standing tradition at bauverein AG, which we cultivate with dedication. Buildings such as the Rhönring ensemble by August Buxbaum, the Hundertwasser House, the darmstadtium and the Historic Town Hall are all part of our portfolio or were built by us. Many of our buildings are characterised by artistic designs such as graffiti, mosaics and sculptures that adorn the façades and outdoor areas.
For us, art and architecture go hand in hand and together create an inspiring living environment. Such an environment is not just a place to live, but a space that enhances the quality of life, promotes creativity and increases well-being.

bauverein AG in colour and form
Art on buildings has a long tradition at bauverein AG. Since the beginning of the last century, residential buildings have been adorned with decorative ornaments and works of art. Works of art of all kinds can be found on buildings, in backyards or in the middle of green spaces.
The "Kunst am Bau" collection has been steadily expanded over the years - for example with artworks by Ulla Scholl, Walter Nass, Bruno Feger, Richard Heß and Christoph Kappesser - and today comprises a diverse spectrum of important works of art in public spaces.

Tradition and modernity
For more than 150 years, bauverein AG has been a recognised expert in the field of construction and housing. Its building stock comprises buildings from a total of three centuries or were built by it. The architecture of bauverein AG characterises the cityscape of Darmstadt and southern Hesse with its sometimes traditional, sometimes modern design.
