Our whistleblower system

Compliance means observing all legal requirements for the persons and companies involved in a business process. This is the basis for trusting and long-term cooperation between all parties involved and serves to maintain long-term business relationships.

For us as a municipal housing company, legally compliant behaviour is our top priority. Compliance with the applicable laws and internal company guidelines is part of our corporate mission statement and our corporate identity.

We do not tolerate misconduct of any kind, such as corruption, fraud, taking advantage or similar actions to the detriment of our company and our customers.

In this context, we have not only appointed a compliance officer, but have also set up a whistleblower system where business partners, customers and employees can report possible misconduct. These reports are of course treated confidentially and can also be submitted anonymously.

What our whistleblower system does not do:

Our whistleblower system cannot answer general questions about your tenancy such as fault reports, questions about your utility bills or questions about the rectification of defects, etc. In such cases, please contact our Service Centre as usual. Which is not the purpose of our whistleblower system:

We do not tolerate deliberately false or defamatory reports that are intended to denounce or harm other people. Such reports can be prosecuted under civil or criminal law.

Digital whistleblower system

You can report possible legal violations at any time via our digital whistleblower system - anonymously if you wish.

Incoming reports are checked and processed confidentially by bauverein AG's Compliance Officer. The digital reporting system also enables protected communication with the whistleblower, even in the case of anonymous reports.
