Cooperation for the creation of subsidised housing

At the beginning of the year, bauverein AG concludes a cooperation agreement with the city of Darmstadt. In this agreement, the company voluntarily undertakes to create at least 100 new social housing units per year by 2020 in order to support the city in providing urgently needed housing with rent and occupancy restrictions.

88 flats in Blütenallee

In Blütenallee, 88 new flats with occupancy rights for the city of Darmstadt are to be built. The purchase agreement for the property was signed at the end of 2012; Kissler & Effgen Architekten (BDA) from Wiesbaden have been commissioned with the planning.

Experts discuss energy savings

At a major conference in the former state parliament meeting room at Rheinstraße 65 at the invitation of bauverein AG at the beginning of the year, experts will discuss energy-saving options for the future, including the topic of "Saving energy through the use of communication technology". Second passive house celebrates topping-out ceremony

bauverein AG's second passive house project is making rapid progress: a good six months after the foundation stone was laid, "greenageone" celebrated its topping-out ceremony in February. As part of the European energy-saving BuildTog project, 37 comfortable owner-occupied flats with sophisticated architecture are being built in Darmstadt-Kranichstein. In March, bauverein AG, BUND and vhs invite you to a well-attended information event with a tour of the construction site of the new passive house.

Twice honoured

Three tenant councils for Eberstadt-Süd

In March, the three tenant councillors elected in a by-election for the "South" district are welcomed. In future, this will be represented by Erika Reitz, Ursula Hildenbrandt and Ibrahim Omar Haji.

A safari lodge for the Vivarium

A safari lodge in the style of an African veranda has been offering zoo visitors to the Darmstadt Vivarium protection from rain and sun since April. The construction project is being financed by bauverein AG as part of its regional sponsorship concept.

Subsidised flats in Elisabeth-Schumacher-Straße

On the former site of the US Armed Forces Performing Arts Centre at Elisabeth-Schumacher-Strasse 2-6, 41 subsidised barrier-free flats are being built. Second stakeholder survey

As part of a stakeholder survey, the expectations of various interest groups such as customers, employees, journalists and representatives from politics, authorities, banks and non-profit organisations will be surveyed for the second time in September 2013 (for the first time in 2011). A new feature this time is the survey of 1,000 stakeholders via an online questionnaire.

The award-winning building is the headquarters of the Institute for Housing and the Environment. Tenants' party in the Fritz-Dächert estate

bauverein AG celebrates the successful modernisation of the Fritz-Dächert-Siedlung together with the residents on 8 November.
