Bessunger Straße 131 - 157 / Niersteiner Straße 7 - 17

bauverein AG has begun the modernisation of 80 flats and the construction of a further 20 flats at the Bessunger Strasse 131 - 157 / Niersteiner Strasse 7 - 17 property. The modernisation of the four buildings includes thermal insulation of the building envelope, new roofs, windows and shutters as well as the renovation of the conservatories. The flat entrance doors will also be replaced, the basement ceilings thermally insulated and fire protection measures carried out.

Part of the extensive project is a modern climate protection and energy concept. Among other things, photovoltaic systems are being installed on the roofs, which can supply tenants with renewable tenant electricity. These measures and the new thermal insulation of roofs, exterior walls and basement ceilings will reduce the final energy requirement for heating and hot water by 84%, while CO2 emissions will fall by 89%.

To improve the quality of life for tenants, the project includes new lifts and a green roof as well as the redesign of rubbish areas and parts of the car parking spaces. In addition, basic pipes, drinking water and electrical connections will be renewed where necessary.

The four buildings are being modernised one after the other, and 9 of the 20 new flats are publicly subsidised.
