Four buildings dating from the late 1940s with a total of 46 flats have been extensively modernised and renovated to make them more energy efficient since July 2017.
By summer 2018, the roof had been renewed, windows, front doors and flat doors replaced and entrances, doorbell systems, stairwells and outdoor facilities refurbished.

In addition, the buildings were given new balconies up to the first floor
. As part of the energy-efficient refurbishment of the property, the façades will also be insulated and a combined heat and power unit will be installed so that the houses will fulfil the KfW 85 standard once the work is complete. A nice
side effect of the roof renovation: the installation of larger dormers will increase the living space under the roof.
