Spessartring 1-3; Kranichsteiner Str. 67

As part of the neighbourhood redevelopment, a large number of properties along the Rhönring have already been modernised in line with conservation requirements in recent years.

The "Spessartring 1-3 and Kranichsteiner Strasse 67" project was built in 1951 as a solid construction. The construction project includes both the modernisation of 28 residential units in an occupied state and the addition of 5 further residential units. In order to fulfil the energy requirements of future legislation, measures will be consistently implemented to significantly reduce energy consumption.

To improve living comfort, the flats will have new front balconies facing the inner courtyard. The bathrooms will be modernised and the supply lines renewed.

In addition to a switch to district heating, cisterns and pumps will also be installed to make rainwater directly available for watering the garden. The outdoor facilities will be redesigned and a large number of new bicycle parking spaces will be created.

The major modernisation with an additional storey is scheduled for completion in May 2024.
